Remembrance Day
A very emotional day to remember "those who gave up on their today for our tomorrow", as someone said yesterday during the Remembrance Day service in Stafford. A day marked by memories, respect, silence, gratitude, togetherness and poppies.
Stafford Hospital Children's March, 28th September
Thousands of people gathered yesterday in the Market Square to walk in support of the Stafford Hospital. This is the second march organised this year for this cause. Below you can see a selection of shots taken inside the Support Stafford Hospital space in the Guildhall Centre, the Market Square and along the march to the Hospital.
Katherine House Hospice Midnight Walk, 14th September
There's nothing like a good 10 k midnight walk to burn some of those calories. And when it's for a noble cause, it's a no - brainer that you must go ...
Around 500 women met at Beaconside Sports Centre to walk for Katherine House and help raise funds in support of the vital services The Hospice is offering. The theme this year was a Hawaiian one, so you can imagine all the flowers, colours and sparkle lighting the dark.

Food 4 Thought, Blooming Tea Party for Marie Curie Cancer Care
Just a few steps from the high street, Food 4 Thought is a lovely and friendly Cafe in Stafford and on Saturday 20th July the staff organised a Blooming Tea Party to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
But Food 4 Thought is more than a lovely place to have a cup of tea and a home-made cake in. It is a training Cafe that provides support for people recovering from mental illness, helping them to improve self-confidence, gain a sense of achievement and gain experience of working in a team.
The Cafe has been founded by South Staffordshire and Shropshire NHS and Staffordshire County Council and is open to the public Monday to Saturday.

Charity event at the Post House Restaurant
On Saturday 20th July, one room in the Post House Restaurant in Stafford turned into a Craft wonderland coloured with little buttons, balloons, accessories, cakes and different other hand-crafted "goodies".
The event was part of Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation's charity actions in support of this cause and brought together a big number of people of all ages curious to see what the Craft Carnival has to offer and willing to spend some pennies for a good cause.

Stafford's Got Talent 2
At the end of June, Danny Reynolds Centre organised the second edition of Stafford's Got Talent. A fund raising event meant to bring them closer to the opening of the Centre itself - a place to capture within it preventive services aiming at the 14 - 25 years old age group.
The Centre took it's name from Danny Reynolds, a young man aged only 21 when he lost his life in a tragic car accident. The driver was one and a half above the legal alcohol limit.
Over the last couple of years, his mother, Di, has fought and is still fighting to bring this Centre to life.
The winners of Stafford's Got Talent this year (photo in the series below) are Nevaeh Duo.
In April, on Saint George's Day, in Stafford was born The Stafford Knot Storytelling Club, founded by the storytellers Ana Lines and Cath Edwards. Once a month, at Ye Old Rose and Crown Pub, the stories, the dance and the music meet the public.
